People and groups in Liversedge and Gomersal can bid for grants of up to £500 and the local community will decide who gets the money.
‘It’s up to you’ is a new scheme which encourages people to share ideas for projects in their area.
Head of Safe and Cohesive Communities at Kirklees Council Michael Greene said: “Involving people in decision-making is a great way of encouraging a sense of community and giving people an opportunity to have their say on the things that happen in their local areas.”
