A Bradford-born self-taught artist has told of his pride at being given the chance to paint murals in the city’s subways.
Chris Ellerton, of Thorpe Edge, created his eye-catching murals in the subways near Jacobs Well.
Mr Ellerton, who started teaching himself to paint four years ago, said: “I was buzzing when I was asked to do it because I am from Bradford, I was born here.
“I am proud of the work – and I would like to do a few more.”
The 50-year-old’s talents were spotted at the Gateway Community Centre in Ravenscliffe, where he teaches people how to paint. He has done a large seascape mural at the centre.
He added: “I like what I do.”
