The University of Bradford is taking part in a national scheme to get more women involved in science and technology.
Announced by the Chancellor of the Exchequer George Osborne, the ‘Your Life’ campaign aims to support a change in how women and girls are encouraged to consider technology and engineering careers and the subject choices or vocational pathways that lead to them.
The university has pledged to create a network of female academics and professionals in computing, engineering and technology, as well as utilising members of the network as role models for young women in nominated schools.
They will also set up learning partnerships between young women in targeted schools and female university students.
