A shop had to be evacuated after fire started in first floor offices of a building in Cleckheaton.
Fire crews from four stations were involved in the operation to bring the flames under control and the blaze was confined to the first floor of the building, on Horncastle Street.
There was some smoke-logging of a shoe shop on the ground floor and it was evacuated as a precaution following the incident yesterday afternoon.
The offices, which are understood to be used by a taxi business, were unoccupied when the fire broke out. The building also houses a take-away business.
West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service sent pumps from the Cleckheaton, Batley, Odsal and Bradford stations and around half of the first floor had been affected by the fire.
Four firefighters wearing breathing apparatus were involved in tackling the fire, using two hose reels.
There were no casualties and a specialist fire investigation officer is leading work to discover how the blaze started.
