Knitters are being encouraged to get their needles at the ready so the bunting can be hung out for this summer’s Grand Depart.
Bradford Council’s visitor information centres are putting the call out ahead of the Tour De France’s opening leg arriving in the district.
Visitor economy manager Patricia Tillotson said: “We’re appealing to all avid knitters to help create bunting triangles for our visitor information centres.
“Texere Yarns are supporting the project by supplying free yarn which will be available from our centres from Tuesday. If that runs out we have additional yarn available to buy at a discounted price.
Completed bunting triangles can be taken to any of the Council’s four visitor information centres at West Lane, Haworth; Ilkley Town Hall, Salts Mill in Saltaire and Britannia House in Bradford.
Alternatively, they can be posted to Bradford Visitor Information Centre, Britannia House, Broadway, Bradford, BD1 1JF.

The Visitor Information Centres are also now stocking a range of Tour de France merchandise.
