Oscar Newton is one stagestruck hound.
The Pudsey pooch is making his theatre debut in Fulneck Dramatic Society’s production of J B Priestley’s thriller Dangerous Corner and, according to director Alacoque Marvin, he’s a great addition to the cast – always on cue and “bark perfect”.
“Priestley’s original script makes reference to a dog, but it never actually appears. Oscar’s ‘agent’ is Bruce Newton, who’s a key member of our set building team,” says Alacoque.
“Oscar came along to a couple of rehearsals with him and that got me thinking that it would be great to have him as part of the team.”
Dangerous Corner runs at Fulneck’s Comenius Arts Centre until tomorrow.
