Organisers of a charity fashion show still need to hear from more men who have had breast cancer and want to join them on the catwalk.

This year will be Bradford’s Bosom Friends 22nd annual fashion show and this time the women behind the event want to see more men taking part.

Although Bosom Friends is a self-help and support group for women who have had, or are undergoing treatment for breast cancer – the disease itself is not exclusive to women, said Paula Pearson, who is one of group’s members sharing the responsibility for making the 2014 show a success.

“We’d really love to get more men joining us on the catwalk. We’ve had husbands, partners and sons support us before but we could do with a few men who have their own experience of breast cancer – it would help us raise awarness that it’s not exclusive to women,” said Mrs Pearson, who will be two years clear of the disease in December.

A Facebook page is being set up and plans are under way for the fashion show itself which will be on Tuesday, October 28, at 7pm at Bradford Grammar School, when tickets will cost £5.
