Airedale Hospital’s midwives were out and about in Keighley town centre this week to help celebrate International Day of the Midwife.
Members of the midwifery team were on hand in the Airedale Shopping Centre to give expectant mothers a chance to speak to them. They answered questions and give tips on subjects such as breast feeding, healthy eating, parent education classes and many other services provided at Airedale Hospital.
Alison Mastrantuono, community midwifery manager at Airedale NHS Foundation Trust, said: “Last year we opened our new midwifery-led unit at Airedale.
“We want to let people know about the new facilities and equipment, such as birthing pools and birthing chairs, that are now available.”
