An Otley-based charity is celebrating a successful two-year link-up with its local Sainsbury’s store.
The supermarket has supported Otley Action for Older People as its Local Charity Partner for the past two years.
The link-up, which has seen Sainsbury’s staff help organise everything from tombolas and collections to car washes and sponsored walks, has raised more than £10,000.
Proceeds from the different events were matched by Sainsbury’s, and Otley Action for Older People’s project manager Sue Trainor said the contribution had made a real difference.
She said: “This has been of great benefit to us, both financially and practically.”
The supermarket will soon be asking shoppers to nominate its charity partner for the next year, with voting taking place between May 28 and June 8.
