Improvements to the rail line between Bradford and Halifax will be discussed at a meeting this Saturday.
The Halifax and District Rail Action Group (Hadrag) is holding its annual meeting, with Councillor James Lewis, chairman of West Yorkshire’s public transport agency Metro, as speaker.
Topics on the agenda at 10.30am in the Orange Box young people’s centre, Thomas Street, Halifax. include Calder Valley Line speed-up and electrification.
Stephen Waring, chairman of Hadrag, said: “In 29 years of campaigning Hadrag has seen massive progress in the development of rail services across our area, with Brighouse station which opened in 2000 and big increases in services.”
