A club attended by a local teenager who survived a rare form of cancer has raised cash for the organisation which helped him by staging a 24-hour table tennis marathon.

Dozens of youngsters and adults took part in the event at Keighley Table Tennis and Recreational Centre from noon on Saturday.

At least £1,100 was raised, of which at least a quarter will go to the Teenage Cancer Trust, who helped 18-year-old Cross Roads teen Jethro Rainford after he was diagnosed with a type of bone cancer in February 2010.

Jethro had his big toe and part of his right foot amputated but has recovered and is able to still play table tennis.
