Fresh thoughts on modern health issues will be revealed at a special talk by respected diet expert Dr Vernon Wheelock at Broughton Hall next week.
The former University of Bradford professor and microbiologist founded the Food Policy Research Unit to advise the food and farming industries on healthy eating.
Now he runs Verner Wheelock Associates, an award-winning consultancy providing expert training to the food industry and based in Broughton Hall’s award-winning business park.
On Wednesday, the hall itself will host a special evening presented by Dr Wheelock.
His wide-ranging talk will look at the role diet plays in prompting – or preventing – debilitating illnesses such as Alzheimer’s Disease and diabetes.
Dr Wheelock will argue that much of the current official dietary advice cannot be justified by appropriate scientific research.
The event take place from 6pm to 8pm and those wishing to attend should e-mail Utopia@broughtonhall.co.uk for details.
