Police are investigating after a wool scouring company was hit by an alleged arson attack last night.
Crews from Bradford fire station were called to Haworth Scouring on Birksland Street at around 8.30pm, and found that a metal shutter had been prised open. Whoever was responsible had then set fire to a bale of treated wool inside the building.
A member of staff had been present and managed to move some of the large bales of wool before it spread, and an automatic sprinkler system also helped contain the blaze.
Later in the evening, at 11.30pm, crews from the same station responded to a call that a car, a Kia Seed, had been set on fire on an area of land next to the business. The car was destroyed and police are investigating both incidents
