It’s officially the country’s Curry Capital so where else would chef Heston Blumenthal visit to create his own take on one of the nation’s favourite dishes?
The quirky cook, known for his wacky concoctions, visited Bradford in February to film for Heston’s Great British Food, currently airing on Channel 4.
During the series, Heston will reveal the secret history of some iconic British dishes and then transform them – as only he can.
On Thursday, viewers can tune in to see the city showcased to the nation when Heston cooks a giant poppadum as he turns his hand to Indian cooking.
The chef will be seen cooking a lamb biryani with a Bombay mix crust and a giant poppadum measuring nearly a meter in diameter.
Heston’s Great British Food is on Channel 4 on Thursday, at 9pm.
