A husband and wife have shaved their heads in aid of the Telegraph & Argus Crocus Cancer Appeal.
Sorcha and Ling Liu were inspired to do something because of the plight of Sorcha’s mum, who suffered from cancer.
Barbara Carroll, who lives in North Carolina, America, is in remission from the disease but has since developed heart problems.
Sorcha said: “It is devastating and heartbreaking because she is the best mum in the world. We love her to bits and we have seen what she has gone through.”
On the Crocus Cancer Appeal, Sorcha said: “By raising funds for the appeal, it will hopefully help people in our day and age, and the children of the future, by finding a cure for cancer.”
The couple, who thanked In Touch cyber cafe in Bradford for printing posters of their fundraising appeal for free, are also raising funds to help pay for Barbara’s medical treatment.
They want to hear from any businesses that could donate raffle prizes for future events they are planning.
If you want to donate to the couple’s efforts, or you have any fundraising ideas to help them, contact them on 07474 199848 or (01274) 404772. Alternatively, e-mail lingliu2010@ gmail.com or summersunie@yahoo. co.uk.
