A giant piece of montage artwork is planned to help welcome Tour de France cyclists to Haworth this July.
Organisers of the Tour D’Art initiative aim to site the eight by 16 foot creation on the gable end of a building at the top of Main Street.
They are now asking people for recommendations on what sort of images should be included.
Ward councillor Russell Brown is working with local artist Vic Buta to make the project an eye-catching success.
“We’ll be displaying this towards the end of the cultural festival,” said Coun Brown. “The idea is for it to still be there when the cyclists go past, so it can been seen by people watching the race from all over the world.
“We’re asking local schools if they want to contribute some ideas on what this will portray. The theme of the artwork will be ‘What does the Worth Valley mean to me?’.”
People can call (01535) 646074 or e-mail info@worthvalleymag.co.uk if they want to suggest ideas.
