Auditions are taking place for a television film being shot in Bradford by a director from Pakistan.
Mian Mubasher’s film, called Jutt In Trouble, is about different communities working together. Bradford actor Nadeem Butt, who is in the film, describes it as a comedy with a social message. It is acted in Punjabi, with English subtitles.
Auditions are taking place on April 13, when hopefuls will have chance to perform in a variety show.
“Mian wishes to promote new Bradford talent. We would like to invite performers to try their luck for a chance to take part in this television movie,” said Nadeem, who will perform in the variety show, at Bradford’s Khidmat Centre. Other performers include singers Rajub Ali, Zara Khan, Shehla Khan and Nisar Smiler.
Anyone interested in auditioning, or performing in the variety show, should e-mail nadeembutt_3@ hotmail.com. The closing date for applications is April 10.
