Staff at Morrisons supermarket group in Bradford are hoping some last-minute training will boost their bid for glory in the Mascot Gold Cup.
Members of the supermarket chain’s local marketing team will be among those taking part in the extravaganza at Wetherby Racecourse on Sunday, April 13, all to raise money for charity Sue Ryder.
Staff are hoping to raise more than £1,500 by taking part, dressed as mascots including Vinnie the Vulture, Jungle the Elephant and Frankie the Frog, with Morrisons’ own mascot, Ginger the Gingerbread Man, making his debut appearance.
Other Bradford-based mascots, including Brad the Bear from Bradford Council and Arry Avenue from Bradford Park Avenue FC, will join the 60-strong field in the race.
