Firefighters were called to a car blaze after smoke spread to a house, setting off the smoke alarm and waking people inside.
It is thought the Ford Galaxy, which was parked outside the semi-detached house in Odsal, was set alight deliberately.
A crew from Odsal was called to Birch Lane at 3.50am this morning.
Crew manager Andy McCann said the three people living in the house were already outside when firefighters arrived and were advised to call police.
Smoke had spread to the home and set-off the alarm, waking one of the people inside who called 999.
“The whole car was damaged,” Mr McCann said.
“It was well alight when we got there. We arrived, extinguished the fire and protected the area by the house.”
Firefighters spent about 45 minutes at the house, which was not damaged.
