People trying to contact Shipley MP Philip Davies are finding his office telephone line is out-of-order.
Mr Davies has spoken of his frustration at the problem, which is also affecting others in the area and could last up to two months.
Constituents calling the number for his constituency office in Otley Road, Shipley, are being met with an engaged tone with no way of leaving a message.
Nor can a message be left alerting people to the problem.
Mr Davies said BT wanted to repair the line immediately but needed to access the cables under the main road.
He said it could be another two months before BT was given permission by Bradford Council to install temporary traffic lights and dig up the road.
He said: “I am extremely sorry for the inconvenience that is being caused to my constituents by this fault.
“I am also extremely concerned for the other local businesses that are being affected and I trust that Bradford Council and BT will work together to get this fixed immediately.
“A two-month delay would be totally unacceptable."
Constituents are advised to contact Mr Davies via his Westminster parliamentary office on (0207) 219 8264, e-mail philip.davies.mp@parliament.uk, send a message via the website www.philip-davies.org.uk/contact or write a letter to Philip Davies MP, House of Commons, London SW1A 0AA.
