Firefighters free woman trapped at Brighouse care home
Firefighters rescued an elderly woman stuck behind her bedroom door at a Brighouse care home today.
The 83-year-old, who has dementia, had fallen and care staff trying to help her could not get to her.
A fire and rescue crew from Brighouse were called to Rastrick Grange in Close Lea Avenue just after midnight and managed to remove enough of the door's casing to squeeze one of their men through its gap into the bedroom.
Paramedics were also called but the woman had no injuries.
