Friends of a University of Bradford student have pleaded with him to get in touch after he disappeared on Wednesday.
Aamir Qudeer, who turns 21 on Monday, was last seen at 1.15pm leaving his flat at Forster Hall student accommodation on Great Horton Road.
His friends said his last mobile phone activity was about an hour and a half later. Both his phones have since been switched off, they said.
“All the lads at Forsters are worried about you,” said one of his friends, who wished to remain anonymous. “This is not like him - it is not a runaway case.
“We just want him, or whoever he is with, to get in contact with us or his family.”
Mr Qudeer had played football with friends on Tuesday night, before returning to his flat with friends and later going to sleep.
His friend added: “I have known him since September. We are close group.”
Police said Mr Qudeer’s disappearance was reported to them last night, and that they were in the early stages of an investigation.
The friend added that Mr Qudeer had been involved in a relationship with an Asian girl from Keighley.
