A Denholme charity volunteer who died last September received a fitting send-off at a concert held in the village.
The event was held to pay tribute to Connor Paul Smith, who had been a helper in the Mpika charity shop for several years.
Local bands Milestone, Play For Ale and Top Whack performed during the gig at Denholme Conservative Club.
Mpika spokesman, June Martin, who also lives in Denholme, said the successful night raised about £250, which will go towards Mpika’s work to help people in Africa.
