Bev Petrossian has been named Employee of the Year ahead of 1,400 workers at one of the area’s top organisations.
Bev, leadership and learning manager at Skipton Building Society, received the accolade at the society’s annual conference.
Bev, who has been with the society for two years, won the affection of her colleagues because of the encouragement and motivation she gives to others. She said: “I feel really special to win this award and I am grateful for all the fantastic and generous comments from people. To be so publicly recognised for doing a job I really enjoy is fantastic. Other people’s obvious delight for me is one of the things that epitomises what makes Skipton a great place to work.”
Head of Skipton Direct Claire Davey, who nominated Bev for the award, said: “Bev has made a significant difference since becoming part of the learning and development team.
“She is extremely supportive, encouraging and motivational and really makes you feel valued.”
