People are being called upon to participate in Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile.
Bradford Youth Development Partnership is hosting this year’s event at Lister Park on Sunday, March 23, which is sponsored by Bradford-born Kayden Jackson, a striker for Oxford City Football Club.
While celebrities such as Davina McCall have been testing their limits with 500-mile feats of endurance, Bradford sprinters and walkers alike have a choice of easy distances including one, two or six miles.
Participants, including the Lord Mayor of Bradford, Councillor Khadim Hussain, will be limbering up with a mass zumba before the mile.
There will be entertainment with balloons, henna, a bouncy castle and face-painting.
Sport Relief is one of the UK’s biggest fundraising events. To enter the Bradford mile, visit sportrelief.com.
