A former social club next to Shipley Railway station can now be used as student flats after a planning application was granted by Bradford Council.
Zamir Hussain had applied to turn the building, on the Stead Street cul-de-sac and empty for several years, into a 24-room house for students.
He had permission to turn the building into six flats, but had started converting it into mostly student flats, leading to a retrospective application.
Planning officers said there were other apartment buildings in the area and possible anti-social behaviour was a not a matter for the planning department.
