A sponsored walk and cycle and an Irish Ceilidh night have been staged to ensure sick and disabled people can go on a pilgrimage.
Both fundraisers were organised by The Massabielle Group, which helps transport Keighley pilgrims needing assistance to Lourdes, in southern France, each year. The walk and cycle were held along the Leeds-Liverpool Canal towpath last month and the ceilidh was held at Branshaw Golf Club.
Group spokesman Sean Gilligan said: “Our next major fundraising event is the annual charity golf tournament, in Branshaw Golf Club on May 5.
“We’re anxious to build on the successes of previous years. We’re seeking sponsors for each of the 18 holes and would be pleased to hear from any business or organisation that may be interested in supporting us by sponsoring a hole for £100.”
