Oastler Shopping Centre will host a Fairtrade event to raise awareness of the banana industry.
The Good Food Advice Stall will be at the Bradford shopping centre on Saturday, as part of Fairtrade Fortnight.
The day will involve cookery demonstrations from Jamie’s Ministry of Food Bradford and a smoothie bike where people use pedal power to make their own Fairtrade drinks.
Councillor Susan Hinchcliffe Bradford Council’s executive member for employment, skills and culture said: “4.5 million people visited our city centre markets last year, so it’s a real opportunity for the Fairtrade group to highlight what a difference it makes buying fairly traded foods.”
