Young people in Calderdale have been invited to an event where they will be able to rub shoulders with some of the area’s biggest businesses.
Companies like Yorkshire Water, Lloyds Bank and Calderdale Council will be at the apprenticeship evening at The Shay Stadium in Halifax, offering advice to people hoping to start a new job or apprenticeship. Current apprentices will also be on hand to discuss their experiences.
Councillor Megan Swift, the Council’s cabinet member for children and young people’s services, said: “Apprenticeships are a really good opportunity. They not only offer the chance to learn new skills and get a great deal of experience in the workplace, but they can often lead to long term employment.”
The event runs from 4pm to 7pm on Thursday, March 13. For more information, call (01422) 392701.
