Royal Mail has delivered a target-busting performance in Bradford.
In the BD postcode area, more than 93 per cent of first-class mail arrived the next working day after posting.
Second class letters and parcels did even better, with 98.8 per cent delivered within three working days – against a target of 98.5 per cent.
The figures relate to the first three quarters of 2013.
Royal Mail delivery director Gary Milne said: “We are working hard to consistently improve our performance.
“Our postmen and women are delivering to one of the most challenging next-day performance targets in Europe at the same time as we are going through one of the UK’s biggest modernisation programmes.”
Overall, 112 of 118 postcode areas met quality of service targets, Royal Mail’s best figures since 2008/9.
