In 2006, the Deo Gloria Trust, a charity which promotes the Christian faith, commissioned textile artist Jacqui Frost to create the first of a series of hand-stitched textile art displays which would travel around the cathedrals and churches of England.
The result is a series of stand-alone exhibitions of which one, The Journey, comes to Bradford on Wednesday, March 5, having been to Bristol, Coventry, Exeter, Gloucester, Leicester, Rochester and York Minster.
Each of the exhibitions is put together using a Bible theme and aims to be contemporary and accessible to all.
The Journey opens at 6pm on Ash Wednesday with a talk by a director of the Deo Gloria Trust, Eric Thompson, followed by a service of Choral Eucharist with Ashing at 7.30pm. The exhibition continues until April 9.
