A cannabis dealer has been jailed for a year.
Adnan Ahmed, 28, of Silverhill Avenue, Bradford Moor, Bradford, pleaded guilty to possessing cannabis with intent to supply and was sentenced by Judge Peter Benson at Bradford Crown Court yesterday.
The court heard that police visited his home and found skunk cannabis in his garden and in two cars. The drugs had a value of more than £8,000. Officers also recovered hundreds, if not thousands, of grip seal bags.
Ahmed’s barrister, Stephen Couch, said his client had been stupid, but had accepted what he had done.
Judge Benson told Ahmed he had been candid. He was self-employed but had been banned from driving. Unable to work he had dealt in drugs. He said: “It seems to me you were operating on a considerable scale. You played a significant role.”
