Bradford libraries will be bringing stories to life using story-sacks.
The story-sacks contain puppets and props to help engage children and their parents in the world of book sharing.
Stories including Winnie the Witch, The Gruffalo and the Very Hungry Caterpillar will be told at libraries across the Bradford district.
The first session is at Bolling Hall library today and will be based on the nursery rhyme There Was An Old Lady. The final session at Manningham Library on March 2 will be based on the Dear Zoo story.
Libraries will also encourage parents to make their own story-sacks with things that they have at home – an old pillow case, three teddies, a doll, and a bowl and spoon will help tell the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears.
