A 23-year-old woman is fighting for life in hospital today after suffering a suspected poisoning.
Police sealed off the Boot’s chemist store in Darley Street in Bradford city centre – where the victim works – this morning for a full forensic search of the premises.
The shop was allowed to re-open at lunch-time five hours later.
The woman was taken ill at her home last night and rushed to Bradford Royal Infirmary, where she is in a critical but stable condition. It is understood she was suffering from severe sickness.
West Yorkshire Police’s Protective Services Department is investigating.
A spokesman said it was too early in the investigation to say whether the incident is suspicious.
