Artist Bruce Michael Baillie will be exhibiting Miscellaneous Images in Cleckheaton next week.
Bruce, who lives in Scholes, has worked in design for more than 40 years and his artwork has been used on everything from ceramic tiles to pub signs. He has also created cartoons, book illustration, advertising, record sleeves, posters and leaflets.
Bruce said: “I’ve always been interested in the commercial art styles of yesteryear – old railway posters and the type of drawings found in boys’ annuals from the 1920s onwards. I suppose my style of work reflects that. I love working in gouache, pen and ink and pencil.”
The exhibition, at Matthew’s Coffee House starts on Monday and runs for six weeks. A meet the artist will be held on Tuesday from 6pm-8pm.
