Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust has won a national award recognising its commitment to patient care.
The Patient Experience Network Awards, the first of their kind in the UK, celebrate the delivery of outstanding service in the healthcare industry.
The Trust received the award in the measuring, reporting and acting category for its ‘Patient Survey Programme’, receiving praise from judges for its thoroughness, commitment from board to frontline services, and actions taken as a result of patient feedback.
The YAS survey programme was re-designed in 2012 and covers the experiences of patients using all the Trust’s services, including accident and emergency, the patient transport service and the NHS 111 urgent care helpline.
