A “third strike” drug dealer netted by Operation Stalebank has been jailed for almost six years.

Sarfraz Ahmed, 25, of Brantwood Drive, Heaton, Bradford, managed the “Wacka” drug dealing line, delivering crack cocaine to addicts by car at pre-arranged drop-off points in Bradford.

Ahmed was sentenced at Bradford Crown Court today to seven years imprisonment, minus 20 per cent for an early guilty plea.

The Recorder of Bradford, Judge Roger Thomas QC, said that calculation added up to 2,045 days. Ahmed admitted two offences of supplying crack cocaine, on June 6 and 13 last year.

He was sent to a young offender institution in 2007 for drugs offences and jailed for five years in 2009 for further similar offending.

Prosecutor Richard Davies said undercover police officers were twice supplied with wraps of crack cocaine by Ahmed from the passenger seat of a car they arranged to meet in the Manningham area of Bradford.

When Ahmed was arrested in November, he had hundreds of pounds in cash and several mobile phones.

One showed more than 6,000 outgoing calls and messages in five months.

Mr Davies said the phone’s history was consistent with it being used for drug dealing.
