Business bank manager Kathryn Harland spent a day familiarising herself with the work of a new Bradford children’s nursery which is one of her customers.
She spent a day working at Ashfield House Day Nursery in Eccleshill to get first-hand appreciation of the business and the issues facing local nurseries.
Owners Tony and Rosemary Izzard asked Kathryn to swap uniforms to help prepare for the launch of their architect-designed new day nursery. The couple, who previously ran employment law and health and safety consultancy Drury PSM, which they sold in 2011, decided to reinvest some of the proceeds in a new business venture and received advice form Barclays.
Rosemary said: “It’s been great to have Kathryn helping us set up all our financial services for the new business, and it seemed only natural that she should come along to see the fantastic facilities and help us to prepare for the launch. She’s given us lots of time saving ideas with online banking and Pingit and it’s great that she’s taking the time to understand our business and the issues we face on a day-to-day basis.”
The new nursery caters for children up to five and includes a purpose-built sensory room.
