Plans for getting in and out of Oxenhope during the Tour de France have been discussed by parish councillors.
Last week’s council meeting heard access was likely to be via the Flappit – on the Cullingworth side of Oxenhope – and Leeming.
Visitors will be encouraged to park in Cullingworth and use a shuttle bus service to Oxenhope.
Councillors discussed plans for portable toilets in the light of the forecast 660,000 visitors to the Worth Valley on July 6.
They suggested toilets could be located on the recreation ground or in the grounds of St Mary’s Church.
A post at the Cross Lane entrance to Oxenhope recreation ground could be removed on July 6 to allow emergency services to gain access to Shaw Lane.
