Wibsey ward councillors have allocated ward budget funding of more than £5,000 towards upgrading the Scout headquarters on Netherlands Avenue.
Costing a total of £16,000, work is well under way on the scheme, which includes replacing the flat roof with a pitched one as well as soffits, fascia boards, guttering, down pipes, roof insulation and a roof extension over the planned new disabled entrance.
When completed the building will be used by the community during the day, with youth service and Scouts sessions during the evening.
