Children with life-threatening conditions are to be helped by a new partnership between a charity and a paint manufacturer in Birstall.
Employees at PPG Architectural Coatings, which manufacturers paint brands Johnstone’s and Leyland, have chosen When You Wish Upon A Star as its charity partner for 2014.
The charity was chosen following an employees’ vote to become PPG’s partner in the UK and Ireland.
The charity will benefit from all the funds raised by the company throughout 2014, including donations from events such as the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy final at Wembley Johnstone’s Painter Of The Year Awards.
When You Wish Upon A Star will also benefit from national exposure provided by PPG through its 187 Johnstone's Decorating Centres across the UK and Ireland.
Paul Dowie, of PPG, said: “We are delighted to be partnering When You Wish Upon A Star.
“Whether the money we raise and donate goes towards a trip to Disney World or the chance to meet their favourite pop star, our partnership with When You Wish Upon A Star will help to put smiles on the faces of many young people – something which makes us very proud.”
