A drop in burglaries and thefts from vehicles has been welcomed by Keighley Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT).
It reported on its website that since January 24, there had been just one house burglary and six vehicle break-ins.
“This is great news and a credit to all the hard work by officers and members of the public looking out for each other,” said Sgt Alex Alderson.
“Officers have been working hard to tackle priority crime in the neighbourhood, and this includes dwelling burglaries and thefts from motor vehicles. We realise the huge impact this type of crime has on the victims.
“We’re seeing the results of all the hard work.”
Sgt Alderson added that a meeting is to be held for anyone interested in joining a neighbourhood watch scheme.
