The first phase of work transforming allotments in Scotchman Road, Manningham, Bradford, into a new community garden is almost finished.
Bradford Council’s landscape, design and conservation team and highways got to work stripping back the overgrowth thanks to money from Toller Ward councillors who agreed to release money from the area action fund.
A meeting is now planned on Thursday to discuss phase two of the project.
Residents are being encouraged to turn up to find out how they can get involved and share ideas.
The meeting will be in the community room of Margaret McMillan Primary School in Scotchman Road at 11am.
Anyone interested in getting involved, or anyone who can not make the meeting but is interested, should contact Masood Gondal, Toller Ward Officer, on (01274) 432597, Janette Goodinson (pictured at the site), the Council’s allotments officer on (01274) 432247.
