David Ward MP has praised a bid to boost grassroots football.
Mr Ward (Lib Dem, Bradford East) has met FA representatives about their campaign to invest funds to get people involved in the sport and support local groups. And he cited Bradford FC as a prime example of how football can be a force for good in the community.
“Grassroots football is very important for young people,” said Mr Ward.
He said Bradford FC shows how football can be a “powerful weapon”. “The club does a lot of work in the community,” he said.
Details of the campaign are at thefa.com/grassroots/.
