Anyone wanting to access homeless or housing advice services in Bradford will need to use a different office from February 24.
The Open Moves service provided by Incommunities is being replaced by a new Housing Options service run by Bradford Council.
Open Moves will close at 4pm on Friday, February 21, with Housing Options opening at 8.45am on Monday, February 24, in premises at Britannia House on Hall Ings. There will also be a service at Keighley Town Hall.
Housing Options will provide a range of services including housing advice and allocations as well as providing information on other related issues.
Existing Open Moves customers will not need to re-register with the service, will see the same members of staff as before, and will receive the same support.
The Housing Options office can be contacted on (01274) 435999 or via housing options@bradford.gov.uk. The website is bradford.gov.uk/housing.
Councillor Val Slater, executive member for Housing, Planning and Transport, said: “The current economic climate has meant a rising demand for homeless and housing services. Bringing this support in-house will mean a high quality but cost-effective service to help people going through very difficult times.”
