Children can take part in action-packed sports camps during this month’s half-term holiday, thanks to Bradford Council.
The authority’s sports and leisure service is offering three and five-day camps featuring basketball, dodgeball, tag rugby, trampolining, table tennis, badminton, netball, cricket, football, athletics, handball, tennis and volleyball.
The three-day camps will be at Richard Dunn Sports Centre on February 25, 26 and 27, with the five-day ones at Nab Wood Sports Centre from February 24 until February 28.
Councillor Andrew Thornton, the executive member responsible for leisure, said: “These camps are a great way for children to try new sports, improve their sporting skills and make new friends in a safe and enjoyable environment. I’m sure they will have lots of fun.”
The camps are open to youngsters aged between five and 13. Children can sign up for just one day if they book ahead with the venue.
The sessions will run from 8.30am until 3.30pm and all children will need a suitable sports kit with trainers, and a packed lunch with drinks.
Booking is essential. Ring (01274) 522750 or e-mail sportsunit@bradford.gov.uk.
