Villagers will soon be able to grow veg outside a Saltaire club.
An area in the Caroline Street car park has been cleared ready for The Taste of Saltaire project.
Tomorrow from 10am until 2pm, a community day is being held so people can go and help build the beds before planting begins.
Sheri-Leigh Myles, of Sustainable Saltaire, said: “It’s for people to come and see what we’re doing and re-engage.”
It is hoped the arrival of spring will reinvigorate people’s interest in the project. Tomorrow the team is working with Vicars Cafe Bistro to promote its Veg Ex scheme, where customers can swap home-grown veg for cafe vouchers, and Bradford Works, who will help volunteers.
