More than 100 new jobs are set to be created this year by a Saltaire-based care business.
The family-run Czajka Care Group which celebrated its 30th anniversary last year, is expanding its community care division which provides home care and domiciliary care to people in their own homes across Bradford, Leeds and Kirklees. Most of the new jobs will be created in this operation.
Konrad Czajka, founder and group managing director, said: “The new jobs – which will be based in the Bradford, Leeds and Huddersfield areas – are a direct result of the increase in the number of people using our service – both private individuals and those we care for in partnership with the local council authorities.
“Although a background in care is preferable, anyone can apply as long as they are hard-working, friendly and tenacious because we can provide full training to anyone with a genuine desire to work in this hugely rewarding industry.
“We are in a very privileged position to care for over 350 vulnerable people in their own homes who suffer from physical or mental disabilities or need end-of-life care.
"Our company structure and highly capable staff enable us to be very flexible with our provision of care, often responding at very short notice, to ensure people always receive exceptional standards whatever their circumstances and feel safe, secure and comfortable with the care they are receiving.”
Launched in 2001, Czajka Community Care already employs 300 staff, inciuding many people with long service.
Jean Holmes, senior manager, said Czajka Community Care had a record of staff retention due to training, mentoring and continuous staff development.
“Our industry is often subjected to negative comments regarding high staff turnover, but here at Czajka Community Care Services we have a proven record of staff retention which is a direct result of the support we provide to staff,” she said.
Tracey Brook is the first new starter at Czajka Community Care this year and has been appointed as a new care co-ordinator. she has more than 11 years experience in the care industry and has worked for a number of well-known providers.
Konrad Czajka added : “We are delighted to be creating so many new jobs and feel that we play an important role in the communities in which we operate.
"Tracey’s appointment is first of many and we hope to recruit more people like her so that we can continue to provide the very best service to our clients.”
The Czajka Care Group was established in Saltaire in 1983 and operates five nursing and care homes and purpose built retirement houses and apartments at sites including Fairmount Nursing Home, Brookfield Care Home and Staveley Birkleas Nursing Home at Nab Wood, Beanlands Nursing Home in Cross Hills and Currergate Nursing Home in Steeton.
Czajka will be hosting recruitment events in Bradford , Leeds and Kirklees. For more details 0800 500 3042 or visit czajka.co.uk
