Paralympian Ellie Simmonds has met a Bradford MP as part of tenth anniversary celebrations of Sainsbury’s Active Kids for All programme.
David Ward met Active Kids ambassador Ellie in Westminster and learned more about the programme, which is being delivered with the English Federation of Disability Sport.
Active Kids is an inclusive PE training programme to support teachers to develop the skills and confidence to teach and include disabled pupils in PE. It has donated more than £136 million worth of equipment and experiences nationally since 2005.
The Bradford East MP is encouraging schools, groups and clubs to sign-up for inclusive PE training.
He said: “It was really inspiring to meet Ellie Simmonds and learn more about the Active Kids for All Scheme.”
