Police have sealed off three streets in Bradford as they investigate how two people suffered stab wounds.
They were called to Upper Seymour Street, Barkerend, at about 9.20pm yesterday following reports of a stolen car.
They found a woman had suffered stab wounds to her arm and further inquiries revealed that a 29-year-old man had attended Bradford Royal Infirmary with stab wounds following an incident in the same area.
He remains in hospital today where his condition has been described as stable. The woman, who was treated at the scene, has been arrested.
The reported stolen vehicle, a black Audi A3 remains outstanding and Bradford District CID are appealing for anyone with information to contact them on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 with any information regarding the car or the incident.
A police spokesman said: “Ventnor Street, Knowsley Street and Upper Seymour Street are likely to be closed off for most of the day while police continue their inquiries.”
